RAW stands for Rodencal Architectural Works and points to the ethos of the studio. RAW's focus is on thoughtful design, construction, and material research embedded in natural materials, processes, and lands. RAW works at the fusion of design, construction, and research and pushes for a further binding of the three.
Maxwell Rodencal is an architectural designer, fabricator, and researcher. He holds a B. S. in Architectural Studies and Minor in Art History + Criticism from the University of Wisconsin - Milwaukee and received his Masters of Architecture from Cornell University. Rodencal is currently a Research Associate for the Building Construction Lab at Cornell University.
