Reusing construction site waste from a previous project, Borrowed Lands Oslo was built as part of a workshop and lecture series ran at the Arkitektenes Hus in Oslo, Norway. This project introduced workshop members to theory and practice-based learning about working with earthen materials - specifically rammed earth. 

The design of the entry podiums introduces state-of-the-art aesthetics of design-for-disassembly. These podiums represent future ways of building and are visible for NAL visitors as well as the public. Slate roof tiles were salvaged and reused from another construction project in Oslo. The natural and thin roof is in direct contrast to the natural, massive rammed earth below.
