While the interior of a sauna is quite specific in its needs and spatial requirements, the exterior can be free and organic. This drove our design concept.

The facade is made up of local trees already felled. The elm logs were milled, air-dried, and milled again into strips for a variable-depth facade. The play of light with the varying depths produces a rustic experience of the sauna from the exterior while a comfortable interior exists within.
